Ciro Buono is an Italian actor, director, and screenwriter born on July 20, 1984, in the heart of Naples. He is known for his versatility across independent cinema, national television dramas, and theater productions. Growing up in the same Neapolitan neighborhood where the legendary comic actor Totò was born, Buono began his theater journey at the age of 15. He earned a degree in acting in 2005 and later graduated in Visual Arts and Performing Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples in 2010, specializing in Film and Theater Direction.
Acting & TV: He made his television debut in 2007 in a RAI fiction series. Over the years, he has appeared in notable national projects, including roles in Il clan dei camorristi, Django Undisputed (as "Il Moro"), and Il Cuore Rubato.
Directing & Filmmaking: As a filmmaker, Buono explores contemporary themes through a vintage cinematic language, a style that has garnered strong public appreciation. He frequently collaborates with independent film houses as a director, screenwriter, and project supervisor.
Other Ventures: Beyond film sets, he has spent three years hosting and supporting international film festivals, directing commercial advertisements, and staging musicals for theater. [1, 2]
