Arjun Sharma

Arjun Sharma grew up in the bustling theatre district of Mumbai's Prithvi Theatre neighbourhood, where weekend plays were a family ritual. His father, a retired sound engineer for Bollywood studios, introduced him to the technical side of filmmaking early on, but it was the magic of live performance that truly captivated young Arjun. By the time he enrolled at the National School of Drama in Delhi, he had already performed in over twenty amateur stage productions across Mumbai. At NSD, Arjun discovered his twin passions: stage combat and voice acting. He trained under combat choreographer Deepak Shirke and voice coach Usha Ganguly, developing a rare combination of physical precision and vocal versatility. His graduation production of Girish Karnad's Tughlaq, in which he played the titular emperor, was hailed as one of the finest student performances in NSD's recent history. After returning to Mumbai, Arjun quickly found work in both theatre and film. His breakout role came in Andhera Ujala (2022), a Hindi neo-noir directed by Vikram Bhardwaj, where he played a morally conflicted police inspector. The role demanded intense physicality and subtle emotional depth, and Arjun delivered on both fronts. He followed this with a critically acclaimed turn in the Marathi film Sangharsh, playing a mill worker caught in the labour strikes of 1980s Mumbai. Arjun is equally passionate about voice acting and has lent his voice to several animated features and dubbing projects. He sees voice work not as a secondary pursuit but as an extension of his craft, requiring the same emotional truthfulness as on-camera performance. He is currently developing a one-man show exploring the lives of Mumbai's street performers.
