Aryan Malhotra

Aryan Malhotra grew up in a haveli on the outskirts of Jaipur, where his family's ancestral connection to the Rajput warrior tradition was not merely historical but lived. His grandfather maintained a stable of Marwari horses, and Aryan was riding before he could read. By his early teens, he was competing in equestrian events across Rajasthan and had begun learning traditional Rajput sword fighting techniques from his uncle, a former Indian Army officer who had studied historical European and Indian swordsmanship. After completing his B.A. in History from the University of Rajasthan, where his thesis focused on the martial traditions of Rajput courts, Aryan moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in period cinema. His unique combination of horse riding expertise, sword fighting skills, and historical knowledge made him invaluable to period film productions. He trained in screen acting at the Anupam Kher Actor Prepares studio while simultaneously working as an equestrian consultant for Bollywood productions. His acting debut in Maharana (2023), a Hindi period epic directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, cast him as a young Rajput prince defending his kingdom against Mughal invasion. Aryan performed all his own horse riding and sword fighting sequences, and his authentic portrayal of Rajput warrior culture drew praise from both historians and film critics. He followed this with the Rajasthani folk drama Padharo Mhare Desh and the action-adventure Talwar Ka Vaar, where his sword fighting choreography set a new standard for historical action in Indian cinema.
