Isha Kapoor was the tallest girl in every class she ever attended in Chandigarh, and what once felt like an awkwardness became her greatest asset. At sixteen, she won the Femina Miss Chandigarh title and was immediately signed by a modelling agency. Within two years, she had walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week and India Couture Week, becoming one of the most recognizable faces in Indian fashion. Her distinctive cheekbones, athletic build, and confident stride made her a favourite with designers, and she appeared in campaigns for brands ranging from luxury sarees to international sportswear. But Isha always harboured ambitions beyond the runway. She enrolled in the Stella Adler Studio of Acting's Mumbai satellite program, where she trained for a year in Meisner technique and scene study. Her teachers were impressed by her natural screen presence and her ability to use her model's body awareness to create physically precise characters. Her acting debut in Fashion Diaries (2023), a Hindi drama about the dark side of the modelling industry, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar's associate Pallavi Joshi, drew on her first-hand experience. Isha's performance was praised for its vulnerability and honesty, a stark contrast to the glamorous facade audiences expected. She followed this with the Punjabi-Hindi bilingual Patola, where she played a modern Chandigarh girl defying family expectations, and the commercial hit Dil Ka Kya Karen.
