Nisha Patel

Nisha Patel grew up in the colourful chaos of Ahmedabad's old city, where every Navratri season transformed the streets into a massive open-air dance floor. She learned Garba and Raas before she could read, and by her teenage years she was one of the most sought-after dancers at Navratri celebrations across Gujarat. But Nisha's ambitions extended beyond folk dance. She was captivated by Bollywood's high-energy choreography and spent hours studying the moves of Saroj Khan and Farah Khan on YouTube. After completing a diploma in Fashion Design from the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, Nisha moved to Mumbai to pursue a dual career in modelling and dance. Her striking features and athletic frame quickly caught the attention of casting directors, and she landed campaigns for several major fashion brands. Simultaneously, she trained in Bollywood dance under choreographer Geeta Kapur's team, refining her natural talent into professional-grade screen choreography. Her film debut came in the Gujarati-Hindi bilingual Rang Rasiya (2023), a romantic musical directed by Abhishek Chaubey's associate Nirav Shah, where her Garba-meets-contemporary dance sequences went viral on social media. She followed this with a prominent role in the Hindi comedy Dulhan Wanted, where she played a modern Gujarati girl navigating the chaos of arranged marriage. Nisha is passionate about bringing Gujarat's rich dance culture to a national audience and is developing a dance reality web series focused on regional Indian dance forms.
