ShortCine is an AI-powered casting and talent platform. Talent build a verified profile and apply to casting calls, and casting teams collect, organise, review, and shortlist applicants in one place. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the ShortCine website and apps.

ShortCine is operated by FoundrySoft (“ShortCine”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

• Showreels and media, including video links you add (for example YouTube, Vimeo, or Instagram) and video files you upload.
• Casting activity, such as opportunities you apply to, shortlists, self-tapes, and messages you exchange through the platform.
• Industry and company details if you represent a casting team, production, agency, or brand, including the casting calls and opportunities you post.
• Communications you send to us, for example when you contact support.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data such as IP address, browser and device type, and how you interact with the platform.
• Cookies and similar technologies, including the cookies we use to keep you signed in.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and provide the platform.
• To build and display your profile so casting teams can discover and review your work, and to show you relevant casting calls and opportunities.
• To power features such as casting-poster extraction, talent matching, shortlists, and collaboration tools.
• To communicate with you about your account and the platform.
• To keep the platform safe and secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
• To understand usage and improve our features and services.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. AI and automated processing

ShortCine uses artificial intelligence to parse casting posters and to match talent with roles. When you submit content for these features, we process it to generate the requested result (for example, extracting roles from a casting poster or identifying relevant profiles). This processing supports the operation of the platform and does not change who can see your profile beyond the privacy settings you choose.

4. How we share information

• With casting teams and companies you apply to, or that search for talent, according to your privacy settings.
• With service providers that help us run the platform, such as cloud hosting and file storage, email delivery, AI processing, analytics, authentication, and customer support providers. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
• For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of ShortCine, our users, or others.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, where information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it as described in this policy.

5. Cookies

9. Age requirement and children's privacy

ShortCine is for people who are at least 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you are under 16, please do not use the platform. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 16, we will delete it. If you are between 16 and the age of legal majority where you live, you should use ShortCine only with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian.

10. International transfers

We may process and store your information in countries other than where you live, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to protect your information when it is transferred, consistent with this policy.
